The Dubai Healthcare City Authority is now recognizing the following: -

Group 1: Healthcare professionals holding valid license from Dubai Health Authority (DHA) (All Categories: Physicians, Dentists, Nursing, Allied...etc.)

Group 2:Physicians and Dentists with qualifications from Option 1 countries.

Please refer to these guidelines. If you fulfill the above criteria,only the below requirements would apply :

Qualifications	Valid License from DHA	As per the Option 1 required qualification in the Physician & Dentists guidelines. Appendix 1.
Certificate of Good Standing	From DHA issued in the last six (6) months.	GP with Experience	Required from the last experience obtained
		GP without previous experience	Exempted
		Specialist with experience	Required from the last experience obtained
		Specialist without previous experience	Exempted
		Consultant	Required for the last 3 years

Fitout Application

Description

Fit-out application for existing facilities without a changing in the total area of the facility or activities. it applies also for relocation and downsizing.

Fit-out type are the following :

General Fit-out – it includes fit-out works for shell & core units
Minor Fit-out – it includes all fit-out that do not by any means affect the existing MEP systems such as (painting, tiling, flooring, low height partitions, etc)
Modification – it includes modification to fitted out units
Demolition – it includes reinstating a unit to original shell & core condition.

Prerequisites

For General Fit-out, Modification and demolition the contractor should be registered with DHCA.

Contractor Registration Service.

For Minor fit-out, contractor's trade license should have the activities matching proposed minor fit-out scope of work

Required Documents

Contractor appointment and acceptance letter
Design Brief
Program of work
Contractor valid trade license
NOC from building landlord for private owned buildings
Existing and Proposed drawings (Architectural and MEP), load schedule and SLD where applicable to the scope of work and fit-out type.

Policies And Procedures

Submission of application
Verification of the submitted documents and drawing (by DHCA)
After acceptance of submission, payment will be initiated with applicable fees
Payment to be done (by applicant)
Technical review of drawings and document (by DHCA)
After review and approval of drawing, Fit-out permit will be released. The duration of fit-out permit will be according to the submitted program of work. (by DHCA)
For DHCC building, contractor should apply for PTW to commence work at site. For private owned building, contractor to coordinate with building management for site access. (by contractor)
After completion of work Final Inspection request shall be submitted . (by applicant).
Inspection will be conducted by DHCA and if completed work accepted, completion certificate will be issued accordingly along with any related to comments to inspection. (by DHCA)
