29 March, 2020. In line with national efforts towards combating the COVID-19 pandemic and to increase healthcare access in this critical time, we would like to update you about regulations for healthcare professionals along with an opportunity to volunteer to help tackle the pandemic.
Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), in cooperation with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), and Dubai Health Authority (DHA), encourage healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the free zone to contribute to the below.
- With immediate effect, as per
Ministerial Resolution No. 230 of 2020, HCPs are permitted to work towards the COVID-19 healthcare requirements across all UAE health authorities without restrictions.
- Such a request should be coordinated between the requesting clinical facility, the health authority that licenses the aforementioned facility, and the authority that licenses the healthcare professional/s.
DHA Volunteering Initiative 'Be a Volunteer with Health Heroes':
- Invites qualified doctors, nurses, paramedics for full- and part-time support (refer to
DHA circular dated 19 March).
- Please refer to
this document on how to register. After registering, HCPs are encouraged to visit
DHA's webpage, and check for volunteering opportunities under 'upcoming events' as these become available.

We also take this opportunity to remind DHCC-based licensed physicians, nurses and allied professionals can continue to practice in multiple clinical facilities within the free zone in relation to COVID-19. (Refer to our
