19 March, 2020. To strengthen national efforts towards COVID-19 preparedness, we would like to bring to your attention urgent requirements from the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) to exempt Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for certain telehealth services in private hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Dubai to ensure continual patient care.
This requirement is in relation to the recent guidelines allowing clinical partners in the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone to provide teleconsultation services (from 20 March until 20 April) without formal approval from Dubai Healthcare City Authority – Regulatory and within licensed specialties.
Dubai Healthcare City Authority, the governing body of DHCC, instructs all clinical partners who plan to provide teleconsultation services to urgently complete the attached Excel document 'DHCC List of Clinical Partners for Telehealth Services', and email
